My Makeup: Sheilla's Pre-S17 Photo Shoot

My friend Sheilla asked me to do her makeup for her Pre-Sweet 17 photo shoot. All the photos were taken by her own brother and also a friend of mine, Ricky Njoto (reminds me how much I wanted a brother:p). Sheilla is a young fashion designer, the dress she wore for the shoot was designed by her and it suited her very well!

Before-After. Nude lips here

Her theme for this photoshoot was Diamonds, as a part from her S17 Birthday Party "Diamonds and Roses"

Kept her makeup and hair very simple and youthful. I don't want to turn her into someone people won't recognize, but into a better version of her.

Sheilla didn't want her makeup to be heavy as well. I applied black eyeliner above her upper lashes and brown eye shadow to liner her lower lash line. Created soft brown smokey eye to enhance her eye contour and applied white eye shadow for the inner corner. I used around 2-3 layers of eyelashes for this look but it looked very natural in pictures. I contoured her face and didn't play on much on blush. For eyebrows, I did some trimming and followed her natural eyebrow shape with eyebrow pencil.

Makeup Graduation 2012- My Makeup Diploma

Here I'm sharing with you my first makeup portfolio, made for my graduation purposes on December 2012.

My theme for the makeup was "Au Printemps" (french) which means (in the spring time)
Keeping the whole thing simple and modest is the key for a spring look

Applied smokey eye for a more of evening look

Me looking so short beside my model, Isabella Tan.
Customized self designed headpiece
Made the hand bouquet myself
Dress and veil: White Bridal

I opted for fresh looking skin combined with glamorous smokey eye look. Asian brides prefer to apply deep colors to make them look bigger and more fresh for their wedding makeup, since our eyes tend to be small and some are even crease less. Eye lashes are our best friend! More techniques are needed in applying makeup for Asian faces/eyes. Asian faces also tend to be more flat in contour, so contouring sides of the nose, hollows, cheekbones, forehead, etc. is a must!
Thank you for everyone who supported me throughout the entire process! Without you all I won't be able to get my makeup diploma.

(Some) Products List:

My First Post!

Hello beautiful (or handsome) readers! Welcome to my new blog. My name is Aviona Jacinda but people usually call me Jacinda.
I'm so excited to say hi to you all! Here I'll be sharing a lot of things which I'm interested in, revolving around (MOSTLY) beauty (makeup, hair, skin care, the list goes on!), art, music, life, and more!
A little bit about me, I'm currently working as a part time private piano teacher in a music school, freelance makeup n hairdo artist, and a student majoring in Communication Science.
I'm considering myself as a newbie in beauty industry, but the interest has been growing inside me since..forever and ever and ever? I enjoy creating and re-creating looks, inspirations are nowadays pretty easy to grab on, thanks to technology! What amazes me the most from the power of skin care+makeup is the ability to make your skin looks and feels baby smooth. I certainly adore those makeup looks with flawless skin and fresh looking eyes!
Well I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I do! Comments are very welcomed and I'm hoping we all can share our thoughts on ideas and topics, moreover I really do hope in becoming friends with you girls and guys beauty enthusiasts or bloggers from all over the world ! xx
